Sisal is a beautiful fibre produced from the dense leaves of the Agave Sisalana plant, spiky bushes which flourish only in a sub-tropical climate. Coir is made from the strong fibres of the coconut husk found in the lush state of Kerala, India. The coconuts grow around the many inland lakes and waterways. Seagrass grows in the tropical climates of China and Vietnam in coastal meadows on the banks of the rivers.
