In order to do this, give your carpet regular vacuuming sessions of at least twice weekly, depending on the traffic it receives daily.
Use a recommended vacuum cleaner and avoid beater bars for loop pile carpets.
To clean off remaining stain use a clean damp cloth soaked in warm water with a little white vinegar to blot the stain.
Work from the outside of the stain inwards.
